It is with deep sorrow that the IHFFC has to announce that Dr. Árpád Prandler, a former Member of the Commission (1996-2006), passed away at age 84, on 5 February 2014.
Dr. Prandler had an illustrious career both as a diplomat, scholar, former senior official of the United Nations and ad litem judge of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia. For 10 years, he was also a very important and dedicated Member of the IHFFC. His colleagues always valued his humbleness and respect towards others’ views. The IHFFC will remember him as a great humanitarian.
